Here some images from our brief stay in Penang, Malaysia. Unfortunately we did not stay long enough to really get to see the island of Penang, just Georgetown.
The first two images are from the mall there. It was late when we went, so a lot of stores were closed, but I really just wanted to visit a mall in SE Asia to see what they were like. Little did I know how many there are in Kuala Lumpur.
The third image is a of mosque. I thought it was a rather pretty looking building. Penang was really cool because of how diverse it was. Within a couple mile radius, you could see a mosque, a church, and both Buddhist and Hindu temples.

These pictures are from the Half Moon Festival that we went to.
Koh Phangan is more famously known for the Full Moon Party, but also holds the Half Moon Festival, Black Moon Festival, and Waterfall Party, each once a month.
We were not going to be on the island for the Full Moon, and although we are not much for partying, figured that we should at least experience it while we were there.
The paintings are common, almost everyone gets a body painting, some people multiple. Troy got a monkey and I a peace sign and a dragonfly. =) Yes, they glow in the black light.
The last image is an overview of the area. Half Moon is held in the jungle, whereas, Full Moon is on the beach.
We decided that while it was alright, it wasn’t anything spectacular. Thailand really likes their house music, and it was definitely evident at Half Moon.

Here is a clip of a Muay Thai fight that we went to.
There were eight different fights in all, the first three were kids! I was rather shocked to see eight year olds punching and kicking each other like that, but I guess they train for this all the time…
This clip is of the kids. See for yourself! The one with the pink shorts was really good. He even fought another round with a different kid after this.

Again, they are taken on different days, but I do know that the last three images were taken on the first day we were there. It was the first sunset we spent on Koh Phangan and it was beautiful. The last five images are taken with the Itouch.
